Together, We're Bringing Better Vision to Georgia.
As Georgia's only statewide provider of lifelong hearing and vision care for low-income and uninsured Georgians, The Lighthouse provides free eye exams, low-cost prescription eyeglasses, and eye surgery for qualifying applicants. We work with a network of optometrists, ophthalmologists, and partner clinics to help improve and restore vision for Georgians in need.
Headquartered in Atlanta, The Lighthouse has established a partnership with the Atlanta Ophthalmology Society (AOS) to increase awareness of Georgia's vision needs and to serve even more patients.
AOS is a group of 200+ metro Atlanta area physicians that focus on the latest advancements in the management of eye disease. We strive to continually improve the care of our patients and to strengthen our relationship with fellow local eye physicians.
AOS is expanding its mission by dedicating the collective time and expertise of its members and their colleagues to serve the most vulnerable members of our community. Vision screenings, examinations, and eye glasses will be provided free of cost (in cooperation with The Lighthouse) to indigent individuals in metro ATL. Through your generous tax-deductible donations to this project (The Lighthouse EIN: 58-0548732), you can give the gift of sight. For only $30 per individual (includes frames and mono/bifocal lenses), you will be participating in transforming lives in our community.
